#6 English language challennges
Hello, in this opurtunidad I will speak about my experience
learning English in the university.
The truth has not been as expected. I entered English II,
where the teacher, due to personal problems, often could not attend. The
classes we had were really very basic, we never had the opportunity to speak,
except in an exhibition, which was very short. Then, in English III, the
experience was not very different, we rarely had about grammar or subject
matter. What did change was that the teacher spoke to us in English most of the
time.
Now that I am in English IV, the experience has not been
very pleasant either, not because of the classes themselves, but because we
never had English before, between classmates there is a great difference in
knowledge. We are not prepared to have a conversation in English for more than
1 minute.
Blogs do not really consider that they are of great help,
although it helps to increase the vocabulary, I think they are not very
interactive and they are not so demanding resecto to the type of text that
should be written.
Although I am the only one responsible for learning English,
I believe that the classes have not helped me at all, or at least, I have not
had significant learning, since many of the things that they have taught us are
the same ones that they taught me in the school.
I think that to improve my English I have to start
practicing every day, whether it's talking, reading, watching series or movies.
Actually in my daily life I never use English. Sometimes I
listen to music in English, but less and less. The language in general does not
catch my attention so it is difficult to dedicate time.
The truth is that I think exactly the same, I did not learn much more than what I did at school.
