#8 Summer plans
I've been
planning and saving for this summer for about a year. On December 7 I go to
Peru with my partner and two of my friends. We do not have a clear itinerary
yet, since we all go on different dates.
We plan to
stay as long as possible, we do not have a return date, so we would like to
know what we can. The only place I am sure I would like to visit is Iquitos, to
be in the Peruvian jungle.
I would
like very much to be able to take some Afro dance class and to know a bit about
the dance scene in Peru. Actually I would like very much to know their culture
in general, their meals, their music.
As I
mentioned before, I have been working hard for this trip, so I do not intend to
work in the next few months, but maybe after school I will take some sporadic
work to save the latter.
Our trip
will change according to the experiences we have, but despite this, we are very
eager to visit Argentina, although Argentina and Peru are not neighbors on the
map, we would like to visit some friends who live there a year ago and be able
to know outside federal Capital.
This trip
is very important for me, since I have never been out of the country for so
long alone. I hope to know and learn a lot from the places where I go and the
people I know.
I am more
anxious every day to begin the trip and that everything goes according to the
plans.

What a great place to go. I've been to Iquitos and I highly recommend you get there by boat, it's an incredible experience, you really connect with the people, you travel in a hammock and there are almost no tourists. And good you are in direct connection with the jungle. I really like Iquitos.
